Instrument Additions
~ Wet Bulb & Dry Bulb Thermometers - Purchased Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) standard thermometers to test the
accuracy of my thermometers. I will also be able to compare relative humidity values to my hygrometers.
Instrument Alterations
~ On the 14th I moved my ferrite supressor to near my AWS rain gauge to see if this can reduce my erronous data.
This has so far proved unsuccessful.
Light Winds / Possible Erronous Data
~ Throughout the last two thirds of Apr wind readings from my AWS have been extremely low. At this stage I am not
sure if this data is correct or if the bearings in my anemometer are wearing. On the 28-29th I conducted a test with my
car anemometer to compare both max wind gusts & total wind run, albeit from a much more sheltered location. Results
I feel were too close to indicate erronous data. I will continue to monitor this situation closely.
